“Ezhuthiniruth” means the initiation of a child into the world of knowledge. Through this offering a child is offered into the divine intercession of Mother Mary and St. Antony. Mother Mary is the Seat of Wisdom and St. Antony is one among the Doctors of the church. For this offering the children are brought to the Shrine and Priests blesses them prays to be filled with wisdom and teaches the child the Holy name of Jesus by helping the child to write ‘Jesus’ in rice within a plate.
